TODAY VERSE OF THE DAY: “As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.” - 1 Timothy 6:17-19 DEVOTIONAL: Scripture calls wealth a gift, meant to be enjoyed and used. Jesus multiplied bread for thousands, leaving baskets of abundance. God delights in providing. But money becomes an issue when we expect it to do what only God can—give identity, safety, or worth. Paul warns us not to “set our hope on the uncertainty of riches,” but on God, who richly provides. Money isn’t a treasure. It’s a tool. A tool for generosity. A tool for good works. A tool for kingdom impact. When we hold it loosely, every dollar becomes an opportunity to serve God, bless others, and reflect His generosity in tangible ways.

You can’t serve God and money, but you can serve God with money.

PAUSE: How might your financial decisions change if you saw every dollar as an opportunity to serve? PRAY: God, thank You for providing for my needs and entrusting me with what I have. Forgive me for treating money as my security, identity, or status. Renew my heart to see wealth as a tool to serve You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
