The growing demand for values-driven financial advisors.
Faithful Steward Issue 7
The financial industry spent decades training advisors to talk about accumulation. But many clients, especially women, are asking different questions. Questions about meaning and purpose. Questions about stewardship and legacy. Questions about family, generosity, and the long-term impact of their wealth.
Research increasingly shows that women value trust, empathy, meaningful relationships, and advisors who understand the deeper “why” behind financial decisions. In fact, 70% of women leave their advisor after their partner dies. They want something different—guidance that feels personal, values driven, and connected to what matters most.
Advisors with the Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®) designation have experienced a similar shift themselves—not away from financial expertise but toward a deeper calling within it.
Unlike traditional financial credentials that focus primarily on technical knowledge, the CKA designation equips advisors to help clients make financial decisions through the lens of Scripture. Candidates complete a rigorous course of study covering topics such as stewardship, generosity, investing, retirement, estate planning, business ownership, and family wealth transfer—all grounded in biblical principles.
To earn the designation, advisors must demonstrate professional competency in their field, complete extensive biblical and financial training, agree to a code of ethics, and participate in ongoing continuing education. The program is administered by Kingdom Advisors, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people steward God’s money God’s way.
Here are a few testimonies from real CKAs:
“I have gained so much perspective on how to approach clients, navigate difficult situations, and incorporate biblical truth into my advice. Just this week…I included a Scripture verse in an email to a client, offering biblical perspective on a land sale. The client’s response was, ‘The best advice yet.’” “I no longer see myself as just a financial professional, but as a steward helping others live out God’s calling through their finances.” “One of the most impactful realizations as a CKA is that biblically wise financial counsel is only as strong as the advisor’s understanding of Scripture.”Others describe how the principles began to reshape their own generosity, stewardship, and family life long before they influenced client conversations.
Trust is built differently when wisdom is not only taught, but personally lived. Perhaps that’s why the values women increasingly seek in an advisor—trust, wisdom, empathy, and authenticity—so closely align with the kind of advisor the CKA journey is designed to shape.
