The financial danger of debt is obvious. Proverbs 22:7 says you become “a slave to the lender.” But there’s spiritual danger, too. Borrowing presumes on the future— that God will provide resources to repay the loan. One thing is certain— it’s easier to stay out of debt than to get out.
